Job summary

Lactalis USA is seeking an HRIS & Special Projects Analyst in Buffalo, NY. You will lead HR system initiatives, support payroll and benefit data integrity, and partner with Shared Services and HR teams to drive efficiency.

You’ll analyze data, develop reports, and manage multiple HRIS projects, while promoting best practices and training across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor's preferred.
  • 3+ years supporting HRIS, HR systems, or integrations.
  • 1+ year payroll/benefits administration experience.
  • Experience configuring or supporting HR systems (Paylocity, Kronos, SAP, Benefitfocus, Concur preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and data analysis.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze payroll and benefits data to support system integrations and accuracy.
  • Maintain and validate Time & Attendance work rules for payroll.
  • Plan, execute, and implement HR and business-related special projects.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource across HR systems and best practices.
  • Document, improve, and train HR processes for managers and employees.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute HR reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Audit HRIS data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support project analysis, testing, and timely implementation; research industry benchmarks.

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring an HRIS & Special Projects Analyst position based in Buffalo, NY.

The HRIS & Special Projects Analyst plays a pivotal role in leading key business initiatives, HR processes, and strategic projects. Reporting to the Manager, HRIS & Special Projects, the Analyst collaborates with Shared Services, broader HR functions, and various US business teams to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Analyze employee payroll and benefits data to support system integrations and ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintain and validate Time & Attendance work rules to support accurate payroll processing.
  • Support the planning, execution, and implementation of HR and business-related special projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource across HR systems, maximizing system capabilities and promoting best practices.
  • Document, maintain, and continuously improve HR processes, providing training and support to HR, managers, and employees as needed.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute HR reports and dashboards to provide meaningful insights for business stakeholders.
  • Perform regular audits of HRIS data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
  • Assist with project analysis, testing, and implementation activities to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.Research industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, communicate project status, and translate technical information into clear, user-friendly updates.
  • Support additional HR systems, reporting, and project initiatives as assigned.
Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting HRIS, HR systems, or systems integrations.
  • At least 1 year of payroll and/or benefits administration experience.
  • Experience configuring, maintaining, or supporting HR systems; experience with Paylocity, Kronos, SAP, Benefitfocus, and/or Concur is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of HR processes, best practices, and HR data management.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred.
