Job summary

Colonial Downs Group (CDG) is seeking an HR Assistant to support daily HR operations in Henrico, VA. You will handle record-keeping, HRIS entries, onboarding, licensing, benefits, and employee relations to ensure smooth workforce administration.

Compensation is $17 per hour. The role requires a High School diploma and at least three years of HR or related experience; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Travel is limited and occasional visits to other properties may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume complex hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting all operations of the Human Resources office, including record-keeping, HRIS entry, hiring, benefits, training, onboarding, licensing, employee relations, and employee engagement.
• Assists with recruitment and onboarding processes, to include scheduling candidates for licensing and orientation, preparing orientation packets, setting up training space, etc.
• Performs customer service functions by answering team member requests and questions and escalates requests to position supervisor as appropriate.
• Assists with the planning and execution of team member engagement initiatives, including anniversary, birthday, and promotional announcements.
