Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the HR function at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS upkeep, ensuring a positive employee experience.

You will partner with department managers to manage staffing needs, support internship programs, maintain accurate records, and assist with payroll changes in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of HR support experience in hospitality/events or fast-paced guest-forward service environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including postings, pre-screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and offers.
• Partner with department managers to assess staffing needs and support recruitment.
• Represent GCCC at career fairs and community events to attract a diverse candidate pool.
• Develop internship programs by partnering with managers to plan schedules and rotations.
• Guide new hires through onboarding and orientation; explain policies and benefits.
• Maintain personnel records, including Form I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for employee benefits questions and enrollment.
• Maintain HRIS data and support engagement and payroll reporting.
• Participate in projects to improve department or venue operations.
• Uphold the principle that The Magic is in the Details and support a collaborative team.
