About The Role

We are seeking an upbeat, detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our People Operations team. This role provides critical support to the VP of Human Resources and contributes to key HR functions including employee records management, onboarding, recruitment support, payroll assistance, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. This position is designed for someone eager to grow in HR and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities for future advancement.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain, update, and audit employee records in ADP and other HRIS platforms to ensure accuracy and compliance
  2. Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and professionalism
  3. Coordinate employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding and offboarding to ensure smooth transitions
  4. Respond promptly to routine employee inquiries regarding employment verification, benefits, and policies
  5. Create and distribute monthly communications to promote employee benefits and resources
  6. Support employee engagement programs through data gathering, communication drafting, and event planning assistance
  7. Assist with internal HR audits, reporting, and compiling HR data as needed
  8. Stay current on HR trends and best practices to recommend improvements in processes and employee experience
  9. Collaborate across People Operations functions including recruitment and payroll, supporting operational goals

Qualifications

  1. 2 to 4 years of experience in administrative or HR support roles
  2. Strong desire and commitment to grow professionally within People Operations
  3. Basic understanding of HR functions, labor laws, and compliance requirements
  4. Experience or exposure to architecture, engineering, construction, or professional services industries is a plus
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with HRIS platforms such as ADP or Paylocity
  6. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and digital onboarding tools is advantageous
  7. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities
  8. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  9. Capable of working remotely with a professional home workspace

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
  • Experience supporting multi-state or remote teams
  • Comfortable occasionally visiting nearby office locations
