Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Human Resource Consultant (SES) at Putnam Correctional Institution to serve as the primary HR contact for the institution and to coordinate recruitment, onboarding, payroll data, and employee relations.

The role requires reporting to the FDC office and entails complex HR duties in a correctional setting, with a strong focus on compliance and service delivery to staff and management.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six years of experience in performing or managing human resources.
• Education substitutions available as described in the ad.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary HR contact for the institution and liaise with Central Office.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, fingerprinting, drug testing, and examinations.
• Manage HR data in People First and Kronos; assist with direct deposits and payroll
• Handle employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Administer FMLA and Workers’ Compensation programs; ensure compliance.
• Coordinate vacancy data, payroll approvals, and monthly reporting.
