Job summary

The State of Illinois is seeking a Compliance & Control HR Functional Processes Supervisor for the Department of Corrections in Springfield, IL. This role focuses on leaves, FMLA, and workers’ compensation while coordinating with CMS, Legal, Labor Relations, and management.

The position is salaried with a hybrid work arrangement (3–5 days in office) and requires a four-year college degree with supervisory experience in HR functions.

Qualifications

• Requires 4-year college degree in public or business administration.
• 3 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the areas of FMLA, workers’ compensation, and/or leaves of absence.
• 2 years supervising staff processing workers’ compensation, leaves of absences, and FMLA.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Compliance & Control HR Functional Processes Supervisor for assigned areas.
• Leads policy development and liaises with CMS, Legal, Labor Relations, and management on HR issues.
• Acts as full line supervisor within the HR function.
• Represents HR Compliance and Control with CMS, Legal, Labor Relations and management on related issues.
• Back-up to the other Compliance and Control HR Functional Processes Supervisor in absence.
• Schedules meetings on FMLA and leaves of absence.
• Performs other duties within the scope of the role.
