Job summary

Stateside Brands in Philadelphia, PA is hiring an HR Specialist (Compliance & Benefits) to administer employee benefits programs and ensure HR practices meet federal, state, and local regulations. You will serve as the day-to-day contact for benefits and leave matters and help manage payroll tax and reporting compliance for a growing multi-state workforce.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field and 4+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or business field.
• 4+ years in benefits administration or HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of ACA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, EEOC, ERISA, and multi-state laws.
• Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Smart Compliance).
• Ability to work on-site at Philadelphia headquarters four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to employees on benefits and policies.
• Lead benefits operations end to end, including open enrollment and new hire orientation.
• Own compliance reporting (ACA data validation, EEOC, multi-state calendar).
• Administer payroll-related compliance tasks (W-2 support, tax rate updates, garnishments).
• Maintain state posters, unemployment claims, and paid leave compliance across states.
• Deliver handbook training and update policies via LMS.
