Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to support HR and drive strategic internal communications that strengthen employee engagement, culture, and workforce development.

You will partner with senior leaders to translate HR priorities into clear messages, manage crisis communications, and coordinate multi-channel programs across the system, contributing to the organization’s RIS E culture and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in communications, corporate internal communications, executive communications preferred.
• Proven experience developing and executing communication strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Experience developing communications strategies and messaging for crisis situations, sensitive organizational issues, or reputationally significant events.
• Experience supporting Human Resources communications or working in HR-related environments.
• Experience in healthcare, higher education, or other mission-driven organizations.
• Familiarity with change management principles and employee engagement best practices.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary HR communications lead, shaping internal communications on culture, benefits, and development.
• Partner with HR and leaders to develop and implement integrated communication plans.
• Translate HR strategies into messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Deliver communications across channels: newsletters, intranet, memos, and presentations.
• Support crisis, issues, and emergency communications with timely strategies.
• Provide strategic counsel on messaging risks to leaders during high-profile events.
• Maintain brand voice and editorial standards across communications.
• Measure effectiveness using data and feedback to improve engagement.
• Support change initiatives, including policy updates and system transitions.
• Participate in on-call rotation for urgent media and crisis responses.
• Collaborate with design, web, media relations, and digital teams.
• Engage with committees to advise on workforce-related projects.
• Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines at high quality.
• Perform cross-coverage for other communications functions as needed.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field

8+ years of experience in communications, corporate internal communications, executive communications preferred
