Job summary

Wabash is seeking an HR Business Partner to perform HR duties at a professional level, partnering with management and the HR team. Responsibilities include recruiting hourly staff, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policies, and reporting.

The role requires collaboration across the organization, adherence to labor laws, and strong communication and integrity. This is a on-site position based in Lafayette, IN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
• PHR or SHRM certifications preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish (read, write, translate, speak) optional or preferred.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of employment and labor laws.
• HRIS and payroll systems (ADP & Kronos).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Flexibility and resiliency amidst change.
• Excellent communication across levels of the organization.
• Self-starter with accountability for results.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling information.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment of hourly non-exempt staff – sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, onboarding.
• Provide guidance on labor relations, policy interpretation, and performance management.
• Address employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
