Third Sector New England, Inc. (TSNE) is seeking a Business Partner, Human Resources to provide responsive, values-aligned HR partnership to fiscally sponsored projects.

This role reports to the Senior Business Partner, Human Resources and works with project directors and managers on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, policy application, and compliance coordination. Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of professional HR experience, ideally in a nonprofit setting with a focus on employee relations.
• Proven ability to navigate multi-state employment laws and the complexities of fiscal sponsorship HR services.
• Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for and commitment to social and economic justice organizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct HR partnership to an assigned portfolio of fiscally sponsored projects.
• Build strong working relationships with project leaders to understand staffing, operational, and workplace needs.
• Provide practical HR guidance that supports compliant, equitable, and values-aligned decision-making.
• Conduct regular HR check-ins with project leaders to identify needs, risks, and opportunities for proactive support.
• Coordinate with internal TSNE teams to ensure project HR needs are addressed in a timely and consistent manner.
