Job summary

Third Sector New England, Inc. (TSNE) is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to provide proactive, values-aligned HR support for fiscally sponsored projects.

You will collaborate with project directors and internal partners to guide employee relations, performance management, and policy application. Reporting to senior HR leaders, you will identify risks, implement compliant practices, and help design staffing processes that sustain TSNE’s mission and values across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of professional HR experience, ideally in a nonprofit setting with a focus on employee relations.
• Proven ability to navigate multi-state employment laws and the complexities of fiscal sponsorship HR services.
• Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in team-based service delivery and HR policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct HR partnership to an assigned portfolio of fiscally sponsored projects.
• Support project leaders with employee relations, performance management, and hiring processes.
• Coordinate job postings, onboarding, and recruitment workflows in the applicant tracking system.
• Ensure compliance with TSNE policies and applicable employment laws across states.
• Identify risks and partner with senior HR staff to implement equitable HR solutions.
