Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks an HR Business Partner II in Milwaukee, WI, reporting to the HR Manager. This role plans and executes day-to-day HR processes and initiatives to build and enhance people leader capabilities across the geography.

You will partner with managers to drive talent management, engagement, and performance, while delivering practical HR solutions that align with Gilbane’s Caring, People First culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 6-8 years of HR experience with minimum 3 years in an HR Business Partner role.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports managers in assigned geography on people-related matters.
• Delivers People First priorities including talent management, engagement, inclusion, compensation, and performance.
• Conducts local trainings with people leaders on key processes.
• Supports staffing and labor strategy with HR Manager and Director.
• Coaches managers on performance, conflicts, and PIPs.
• Executes People First goals and roll-out of leadership programs.
• Advises managers on wages and the Salary Planning Process.
• Champions the annual performance appraisal process.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on staffing needs and hires (M5+).
• Ensures HR processes align with enterprise and legal compliance.
