Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking an HR Business Partner for the Houston, TX Windows manufacturing facility. You will liaise with leaders to support payroll, compensation, recruiting, training, and performance management while enhancing employee engagement and relations across shifts and locations.

You will advise management on disciplinary actions, ensure policy compliance, and partner with a broad HR team to deliver programs that improve retention and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR-related field or equivalent
• SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus
• 5 years of progressive HR experience required
• 3+ years in a generalist/functional HR role with exposure to compensation, PM, training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work across all levels
• Bilingual English/Spanish required; able to read, write, speak in both languages

Responsibilities

• Counsel managers, supervisors and employees on HR policies, benefits and issue resolution.
• Administer employment practices and HR processes.
• Collaborate with recruitment to screen, interview and hire staff.
• Advise on employee relations, complaints and terminations.
• Ensure fair application of progressive discipline policies.
• Oversee payroll management and HRIS data integrity (Workday).
• Coordinate orientation and training programs for staff.
• Support employee engagement, recognition programs and site events.
• Assist with compensation programs, surveys and job evaluations.
• Handle administrative duties including invoicing, filing and events support.
