Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead and coordinate HR activities at the Deer Park Epoxy plant. You will support performance management, employee relations, policy communication, and training programs, while partnering with managers on labor relations and the union relationship.

The role requires strong HR generalist experience in industrial or manufacturing settings, and a TWIC card; located in Deer Park, TX with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• SHRM or HRCI certified professional preferred.
• A minimum of seven years of progressive HR experience with exposure to compensation, performance management, talent management, and employee or labor relations.
• Three or more years' experience in HR at an industrial or manufacturing facility.
• Union experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel functional heads, plant managers, supervisors, and employees on HR policies, benefit plans, job-related concerns, and interpersonal relationships.
• Assists with recruiting, screening, interviewing, hiring, and promoting employees.
• Advises on employee relations issues, complaints, discipline, including terminations for fair and consistent application.
• Work with site and corporate resources on labor relations activities, manage grievances, and lead contract negotiations.
• Conducts orientation, training, and development programs; manages performance, compensation, and talent review processes.
• Assist with development of employee development plans and talent planning initiatives.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, vacation, sick leave, and absence programs for all employees.
• Overseeing end-to-end payroll operations and coordination with Total Rewards.
• Other duties as required.
