Job summary

Westlake is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to act as a strategic partner to site leadership and drive people strategies in a dynamic industrial setting.

The role emphasizes talent management, workforce planning, and employee relations, with responsibilities spanning coaching leaders and aligning compensation and organizational development initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, talent management, organizational development, compensation, performance management and workforce planning.
• Minimum of three (3) years of HR leadership experience in industrial or chemical manufacturing, refining, energy or similar environments.
• Demonstrated success partnering with business leaders to drive performance and growth.
• Experience using HR analytics and workforce data to support decisions.
• Strong business acumen, communication, consultation and relationship management skills.
• Strong employee relations background.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HSE and plant leadership to support safety culture and policy alignment.
• Develop and execute workforce strategies that meet operational and financial goals.
• Provide coaching on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
• Lead employee relations matters including investigations and terminations with policy compliance.
• Drive talent management processes like succession planning and leadership development.
• Liaise between site and Corporate Centers of Excellence to deliver HR initiatives.
