Job summary

The City of Tucson is seeking a Human Resources Manager to provide HR business partner support for assigned departments, including employee relations, talent acquisition, classification, and compensation. This on-site role requires leadership, policy interpretation, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will supervise HR personnel, drive recruitment strategies, audits of positions, and training for managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of relevant HR experience.
• Experience with employee relations, recruitment, classification, and compensation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR business partner support across functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, and compliance.
• Lead recruitment strategies and ensure lawful, equitable hiring practices across departments.
• Oversee classification and compensation activities and audits.
• Coach managers on program implementation, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Coordinate trainings and support for HR staff and leadership.
