Jobot is seeking an HR Business Partner for a multi-site healthcare organization in Portage, MI. You will be the go-to people advisor for leaders, spending time onsite to coach, guide employee relations, and shape people strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related area, or comparable experience.
• 4+ years in HR, people operations, or employee relations.
• Coaching leaders and handling workplace issues.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and judgment.
• Ability to gain buy-in without formal authority.
• Healthcare or regulated industry background; HR certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) preferred.

Job Details

The Role:

As the HR Business Partner, you will be the go-to people advisor for leaders and staff at your assigned sites. You will split your time between strategic partnership and being physically present with your teams. Day to day, you will:

• Coach managers and directors on leading, developing, and holding their teams accountable
• Handle employee relations matters and guide performance management from first conversation to resolution
• Lead efforts that improve engagement and keep good people
• Support staff through important moments in their employment
• Keep people practices fair, consistent, and true to the organization’s values

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related area, or comparable experience
• 4+ years in HR, people operations, or employee relations
• Track record of coaching leaders and working through complicated workplace issues
• Solid command of employment law and HR best practices
• Strong communicator with good judgment
• Able to gain buy-in and influence without formal authority
• Proven ability to carry initiatives from start to finish
• Preferred: healthcare or other heavily regulated industry background; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar)
