Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Maryland team. This fully remote role includes weekly onsite visits to Cumberland, MD.

You will partner with leaders to drive employee relations, labor relations, performance management, organizational development, and HR compliance across a dispersed workforce. Responsibilities include advising managers, conducting investigations, interpreting policies, supporting CBAs, training, and workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 6-10 years of progressive HR/Employee Relations experience.
• Experience in unionized environments and interpretation/administration of CBAs.
• Ability to travel up to 40% to support facilities.
• Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce.
• Strong employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations experience.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders as a strategic HR partner across the organization.
• Advise managers on employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, coaching, and corrective action plans.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and support resolution of workplace concerns and conflicts.
• Interpret and administer HR policies in compliance with applicable laws.
• Support labor relations and CBAs; assist with grievance responses and disciplinary meetings.
• Provide HR guidance on leave, ADA, FMLA, and accommodations.
• Lead trainings for managers and employees on HR policies and practices.
• Travel to assigned facilities to provide onsite HR support.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive health services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Maryland team. This is a fully remote position with weekly onsite visits to Cumberland, MD.In this role, you will partner closely with leaders across the organization, providing expertise in employee relations, labor relations, union environments, performance management, organizational development, and HR compliance while supporting a diverse and mission-driven workforce.Serve as a strategic HR partner to operational leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and workforce planning.Advise managers on employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, coaching, and corrective action plans.Conduct employee relations investigations and support resolution of workplace concerns, complaints, and conflicts.Interpret and administer company policies, procedures, and employment practices while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.Partner with leadership and labor representatives to support positive labor relations and ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).Assist managers with grievance responses, disciplinary meetings, and other labor-related matters.Support organizational change initiatives, employee engagement efforts, and retention strategies.Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to leadership.Provide guidance on leave administration, accommodations, ADA, FMLA, and other employee-related matters.Conduct training for managers and employees on HR policies, compliance, performance management, and workplace best practices.Travel to assigned facilities to build relationships with leaders and employees while providing onsite HR support.Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive Human Resources and/or Employee Relations experience, preferably within a large organization.Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce.Demonstrated experience working in unionized environments, including interpretation and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).Strong employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations experience.Ability to travel up to 40% to support facilities throughout the assigned territory.Comfortable visiting and working within correctional facilities.Ability to successfully obtain required security clearance, including completion of a background check and drug screening.Why Join Centurion?We offer a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits for full-time team members, including:Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance401(k) plan with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Continuing education assistanceEmployee wellness programsAnd much more!
