Centurion Health seeks a Staff Physician to provide clinical services to the Maryland incarcerated population at Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland. The role includes clinical direction, direct patient care, and supervision of medical services for the site.

The position emphasizes leadership in CQI, infection control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics, with collaboration across onsite clinicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school required.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required.
• Board certification/eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction and direct patient care at Western Correctional Institution (WCI) in Cumberland, MD.
• Supervise and evaluate medical services for incarcerated populations and pre-trial detainees.
• Lead committees (CQI, Infection Control, Pharmacy and Therapeutics) and liaise with agency leadership.
• Collaborate with onsite providers and nursing staff to deliver healthcare in a secure setting.
