Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an HR Support Specialist (Benefits) to provide technical and administrative support to the Human Resources department. You will serve as an HR liaison to employees, management, and external vendors with a primary focus on benefits administration and eligibility processing.

Using PeopleSoft Benefits Administration, you will process benefit events, maintain accurate employee data, and offer Tier 1 support for benefits inquiries.

Qualifications

• Require an Associate Degree in business, human resources management, economics, social sciences, health administration or related field.
• Require a minimum of one year related experience, preferably in Human Resources or related administrative support.
• Require experience with HR systems (PeopleSoft), as well as strong experience in all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as HR liaison to employees, management and external vendors with a focus on benefits administration.
• Provide Tier 1 support for benefits and general HR inquiries using established policies and plan documents.
• Process benefit events and transactions in PeopleSoft Benefits Administration and maintain accurate employee information.
• Support benefits eligibility and enrollment and escalate complex issues per guidelines.
