Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Benefits & Leave Administrator to support daily administration of leave of absence and employee benefits programs. The role collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure accurate, compliant processing and offers opportunities for growth into a benefits specialist role.

Salary ranges from $50,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related field) is required.
• 3–5 years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience managing leave cases (FMLA/ADA disability/military leave) and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, disability, military leave, workers’ compensation).
• Maintain leave records, ensure HIPAA and confidentiality compliance.
• Coordinate medical documentation and return-to-work information.
• Develop and improve leave workflows and communications for employees and managers.
• Prepare leave reporting and analytics for program oversight.
• Administer employee benefits transactions (enrollments, life events, changes).
• Educate employees on benefits and enrollment requirements.
• Support annual open enrollment and wellness initiatives.
• Collaborate with carriers, payroll, and HR teams to resolve enrollment and billing issues.
