Leaf Home in Hudson, OH is seeking a Benefits and Leave Specialist to administer employee benefits, retirement, leave, and accommodations programs in a compliant, employee-focused manner. You will partner with HR, Payroll, HRIS and external vendors to support benefits operations, retirement plan administration, leave case management and the employee experience in line with Total Rewards strategy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in benefits or leave administration.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state leave laws (FMLA/ADA).
• Experience handling sensitive employee situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret policies and apply them consistently across scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end leave of absence cases, including intake, eligibility, documentation, approvals, tracking, and return-to-work coordination.
• Lead accommodation processes (ADA) including documentation and coordination.
• Administer benefits programs (enrollments, life events, eligibility, maintenance) and identify process improvements.
• Support 401(k) retirement plan administration, inquiries, plan transactions, vendor coordination, audits.
• Serve as primary contact for benefits, retirement, leave, and accommodation questions.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, state programs, ERISA, and company policies.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, HRBPs, and vendors for data integrity.
• Coordinate with external vendors to manage claims and escalations.
• Maintain and audit documentation and reporting for compliance.
• Support open enrollment and employee communications.
