Job summary

Homer Electric Association is seeking a Human Resources Associate at our Homer, Alaska location. The role covers retirement, benefits, reporting, payroll and training, with duties spanning data handling, scheduling, and document preparation.

You will support the HR Generalist and HR Manager while maintaining strict confidentiality and accurate records. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a background in HR or related field, plus at least

Qualifications

Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to coordinate with outside agencies, internal employees and management with confidentiality.
Associate's degree in HR/Business Admin or related field; in lieu, four years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with HR functions including retirement, benefits, reporting, payroll and training.
Coordinate interview scheduling and travel arrangements; maintain calendars and meeting notes.
Update employment documents for payroll and personnel file changes.
Maintain HR records and filing systems, electronic and physical; data entry as needed.
Prepare professional HR documents and presentations.
Provide backup support to the HR Generalist and HR Manager as needed.
