Surge Staffing is seeking a reliable HR Assistant to support payroll, recruiting, and daily HR operations in Ohio. You will assist with APD Payroll, posting jobs, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and coordinating recruiting activities.

This role involves maintaining confidential records, representing the company at job fairs, and supporting onboarding and HR projects as needed. A detail-oriented, professional communicator will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

Experience in HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative support.
Experience with APD Payroll preferred.
Comfortable using Indeed and online recruiting platforms.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with processing and maintaining payroll using APD Payroll.
Post, update, and maintain job openings on Indeed and other recruiting platforms.
Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct initial phone interviews.
Assist with interview scheduling and candidate coordination.
Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and recruiting activities.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee and recruiting records.
Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR team.
Assist with onboarding, recruiting, and other HR projects as needed.
