SURGE Staffing is seeking an HR Assistant to support payroll, recruiting, and HR operations in McConnelsville, Ohio. This role handles APD Payroll, job postings, candidate screening, scheduling, and on-site HR tasks with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will have experience in HR or administrative support, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This is an on-site opportunity with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, payroll, recruiting, or administrative support.
• Experience with APD Payroll preferred.
• Comfortable using Indeed and online recruiting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll processing using APD Payroll.
• Post, update, and maintain job openings on Indeed and other platforms.
• Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct initial phone interviews.
• Assist with interview scheduling and candidate coordination.
• Represent the company at job fairs, hiring events, and recruiting activities.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee and recruiting records.
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR team.
• Assist with onboarding, recruiting, and other HR projects as needed.
