LHH is seeking an Human Resources Assistant to support a busy recruiting team on the west side of Columbus, OH. The role focuses on assisting driver candidates through the application and pre-employment process, with a strong emphasis on phone communication and follow-up.

The position is a contract role with potential to convert to permanent based on performance and business needs. A friendly, organized individual who can manage multiple follow-ups will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills with at least a year of administrative or HR experience.
• Ability to explain steps, answer questions and follow up on outstanding items.
• Detail-oriented and dependable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Reach out to driver candidates by phone to keep them engaged and moving through the hiring process.
• Follow up with applicants regarding drug testing, background checks, and required documentation.
• Help candidates correct missing or inaccurate information and guide next steps.
• Reconnect with individuals who started applications but did not finish.
• Track candidate activity and hiring progress in the company system.
• Collaborate with the recruiting team to resolve candidate issues.
