Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an HR Assistant to support the Human Resources team at our Corporate Office in Fargo, ND. The role involves handling various HR tasks, including electronic filing, recruitment, and payroll, with a need for discretion and confidentiality.

Essential duties include coordinating interviews, onboarding, staff coaching, payroll verification, training support, and maintaining HR records. You will also help with reports, events, and internal/external service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR preferred; minimum 1 year HR work experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling information.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recruitment processes: update websites, set up interviews, conduct phone screens.
• Answer employee questions or refer to appropriate staff.
• Facilitate onboarding activities and improvements.
• Work with managers in staffing, coaching, and disciplinary activities.
• Assist with payroll verification and timekeeping processes.
• Support Training and Development tasks.
• Provide administrative support and maintain HR records.
• Assist with special projects for strategic growth and retention.
• Assist in compiling reports and spreadsheets.
• Support company events and activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
