HR Assistant
Join the Greendale Park Nursing & Rehab team as an HR Assistant!

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized HR Assistant to support our human resources functions. As an HR Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing the on-boarding process, facilitating general orientation, and assisting new hires with logging into the computer to access all required trainings. You will also create and maintain all personnel files and electronic records, support ongoing training and development of employees, and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the on-boarding process, facilitate general orientation, and assist new hires with logging into the computer to access all required trainings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver training.
  • Create and maintain all personnel files and electronic records as defined by the company and in compliance with all state, federal laws and industry regulations.
  • Support the ongoing training and development of employees. Maintains files of lesson plans for all programs taught to employees and ensures training records are retained per company retention policies.
  • Partner with center leadership on the oversight and management of labor schedules for nursing and dietary, including leading daily staffing meetings, monitoring labor variances, and ensuring appropriate adjustments are made to meet the resident's/patient's needs.
  • Manage the labor management system, including overtime, open positions, hours of labor (HOL), etc. Develop and execute a plan for center leadership to address any labor management system variances to restore compliance.
  • Monitor consistent application of policies and procedures and notify the Business Office Manager of areas of compliance risk (such as untimely disciplinary actions). Create an action plan and assist with execution to mitigate the risk of noncompliance.
  • Serve as the liaison between the employee and the Leave of Absence department to support compliance with internal processes.
  • Advertise select open positions, screen resumes/applications, and participate in the interview process, making final hire decisions for select positions not otherwise managed by the talent acquisition department.
  • Analyze HR metrics such as turnover/retention, overtime, and engagement to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute and participate in QAPI as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to ensure labor management system compliance.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding human resources policies and procedures.
  • Handle or direct workplace investigations related to Human Resources matters.
  • Coach and support center leadership on employee relations issues such as performance management, discipline, and/or termination in compliance with state and federal employment laws.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 1 year of Human Resources experience
  • Healthcare experience, strongly preferred minimum 1 year scheduling or related experience (such as accounting, finance, bookkeeping)
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
