Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an AI Lead to drive the integration of artificial intelligence across the HR transformation agenda. You will shape and deliver the HRAI roadmap, ensuring systems, processes, and data foundations support AI-driven capabilities while upholding governance and ethical standards.

As part of the HR Transformation team, you will collaborate across HR, IT, Data, Risk, and external vendors to embed AI into core HR services and future-proof our operating model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in AI, emerging technology, and risk & compliance.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing AI.
• Experience embedding ethical and regulatory standards into AI initiatives.
• Hybrid position with onsite work at East Coast offices (Atlanta, GA; Columbus, GA; Jefferson, IN; Cincinnati OH; Charlotte, NC).

Responsibilities

• Define and own the HRAI roadmap aligned to business and HR strategy.
• Identify, prioritize, and build business cases for AI use cases (employee self-service, recruitment, analytics, case management).
• Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical HR applications.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of HRAI initiatives from concept to deployment and scaling.
• Partner with HR systems teams to ensure AI-ready platforms (HCM, case management, knowledge systems).
• Oversee implementation of AI-enabled tools such as copilots, chatbots, and workflow automation.
• Ensure HR data and processes support AI and automation.
• Define data quality, taxonomy, and knowledge management requirements for AI agents.
• Collaborate with enterprise AI and data teams on integration and scalability.
• Establish AI governance frameworks within HR and ensure privacy compliance.
• Implement ethical AI principles, including bias mitigation and transparency.
• Work with Legal, Risk, and InfoSec on AI controls and policies.
• Drive adoption of AI solutions across HR teams and end users.
• Support change management, training, and communications.
• Build AI capability within HR through upskilling and guidance.
• Track ROI and stay current on AI trends to evolve the strategy.
