Qualifications

  • Build talent pipelines for manufacturing and skilled trades roles and coordinate interview scheduling.
  • Prepare offers and negotiate within guidelines; maintain candidate communications and ATS records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws throughout hiring.

Job description

The Human Resources Advisor – Talent Acquisition serves as the primary recruiting partner for Minova's U.S. manufacturing operations while also providing day-to-day Human Resources support across the employee lifecycle.

Approximately 60% of this position is dedicated to full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition, with the remaining responsibilities focused on employee relations, onboarding, HR administration, compliance, and HR projects.

This role partners closely with plant leadership to identify workforce needs, develop recruiting strategies, attract top talent, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced recruiter with strong sourcing expertise who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a passion for finding high-quality talent.

Talent Acquisition (Approximately 60%)
  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle for hourly, salaried, technical, engineering, professional, and leadership positions across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Conduct intake meetings to establish position requirements, candidate profiles, compensation expectations, and hiring timelines.
  • Source active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, networking, referrals, social media, and other sourcing channels.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill manufacturing and skilled trades positions.
  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, behavioral interviews, and candidate assessments.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Prepare offers and negotiate compensation within established guidelines.
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Maintain accurate applicant tracking records and recruiting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws throughout the hiring process.
Talent Sourcing
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques including Boolean searches and LinkedIn Recruiter to identify passive candidates.
  • Develop creative recruiting strategies for hard-to-fill manufacturing and technical positions.
  • Build relationships with technical schools, colleges, military organizations, workforce agencies, and community partners.
  • Attend job fairs, hiring events, networking functions, and community recruiting initiatives.
  • Promote Minova's employer brand through social media and professional networking platforms.
  • Continuously identify new recruiting channels to improve quality of hire and reduce time-to-fill.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics including:
  • Time-to-fill
  • Time-to-hire
  • Offer acceptance rate
  • Quality of hire
  • Recommend process improvements to increase recruiting efficiency and candidate quality.
HR Advisor Responsibilities (Approximately 40%)
Employee Lifecycle Administration
  • Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, employee status changes, promotions, transfers, leave documentation, and termination paperwork.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities including background checks, drug testing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure accurate employee records are maintained within HRIS systems.
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Assist with employee offboarding processes.
Employee Relations
  • Respond to employee and manager HR inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide guidance regarding company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Assist managers with employee relations matters while partnering with senior HR leadership when appropriate.
  • Support investigations involving workplace concerns as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee information.
HR Systems & Compliance
  • Maintain employee information within HR systems including Workday, ADP, SAP, or other HR platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Assist with HR audits and reporting.
  • Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Human Resources.
Business Partnership
  • Develop strong working relationships with plant managers and operational leaders.
  • Participate in workforce planning discussions.
  • Support organizational initiatives, employee engagement activities, and HR projects.
  • Assist with implementation of HR programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with staffing agencies to fill production and skilled trade positions.
  • Coordinate contingent workforce requisitions, interviews, and hiring decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with staffing partners and monitor performance.
  • Track contingent workforce headcount, assignments, and conversions.
  • Identify and recommend high-performing contingent workers for full-time employment.
  • Ensure agency compliance with Minova hiring, onboarding, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership on workforce planning and staffing needs.
  • Maintain accurate contingent workforce reporting and metrics.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience with significant full-cycle recruiting responsibilities.
  • Proven experience recruiting for manufacturing, industrial, engineering, technical, or skilled trades positions.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other modern recruiting tools.
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers on recruitment strategy.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing industry recruiting experience.
  • Advanced LinkedIn Recruiter experience.
  • Experience recruiting both exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Experience with Workday, ADP Workforce Now, SAP, or SuccessFactors.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
