H Mart Manhattan is offering a paid, full-time, on-site HR internship in Manhattan, NY. The role supports HR administration, payroll preparation, onboarding, interviews, and employee communications while immersing in business management tasks.

The position requires proficiency in Korean and English, a related degree in HR/Business/ Psychology or ongoing studies, and strong organizational and communication skills. A valuable hands-on experience in a retail HR environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Korean and English is required.
• Pursuing or recently completed degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills expected.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required; HRIS familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• File, update, and organize HR data and documents (new hires, terminations, I-9, W-4) in HRIS.
• Schedule in-person and online interviews with applicants.
• Prepare weekly payroll reports and gather time-off, timecards, and insurance-related data.
• Participate in corporate event planning to foster teamwork and workplace culture.
• Assist onboarding by introducing teams and explaining benefits and policies.
• Support turnover data preparation for quarterly analyses.
• Conduct regular HR check-ins with employees to address concerns.
• Research current HR trends and labor laws to improve HR practices.
• Process purchase requests for office supplies.
• Prepare and submit monthly reimbursement forms.
• Handle other HR and business administration tasks as needed.
