Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks an experienced Tooling Engineer for its High Pressure Die Casting operation in Northeast Wisconsin. The role focuses on tooling development, design, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of HPDC dies in a high-volume automotive setting.

The candidate will work hands-on onsite with production and engineering teams, supporting tool builds, cavity changes, and die life improvements while maintaining documentation and participating in PPAP activities.

Qualifications

• Direct HPDC tooling experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
• Experience with HPDC dies/tooling in production is essential.
• Strong die design understanding and CAD proficiency.
• Ability to work with manufacturing/production teams and solve problems.
• On-site work with willingness to support after-hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, modify and maintain HPDC tooling.
• Troubleshoot tooling and die issues within production environments.
• Analyze downtime and tooling data to drive improvements.
• Support die filling, thermal balance, venting, cooling and die life.
• Create tooling CAD drawings and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with tooling suppliers and internal teams.
• Participate in design reviews and PPAP activities.
• Assist with tooling quotations, budgets and procurement.
