Job summary
Top Echelon Software is seeking a Tooling Engineer for high-pressure die casting (HPDC) to support development, design, and maintenance of HPDC dies in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This onsite role requires collaborating with production, engineering, tooling suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve tooling issues and improve die performance, uptime, quality and life.
The position is based in Northeast Wisconsin on-site, with relocation assistance for qualified
Qualifications
- Direct HPDC tooling experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong die design and tooling understanding.
- CAD proficiency and ability to modify dies.
- Experience collaborating with production teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, modify and maintain HPDC tooling.
- Troubleshoot tooling and die issues in production.
- Analyze downtime and tooling data; develop corrective actions.
- Support die filling, thermal balance, venting, die life and cooling systems.
- Create and maintain tooling CAD drawings and documentation.
- Assist with tooling builds, cavity replacements and tool components.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams; participate in reviews.
- Support PPAP and manufacturing acceptance activities.
