Bocar US in Tanner, Alabama, is seeking a Tooling Engineer to lead tooling planning, execute optimization projects for high‑pressure casting tool design, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

The successful candidate will leverage 5+ years in HPDC tooling, 3+ years CAM/CAD, and CNC programming expertise to reduce costs, improve cycle times, and support new business opportunities with clients and suppliers.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of HPDC tooling design experience in the automotive sector.
• At least 2 years of CNC programming experience.
• 3+ years of CAM software experience.
• CAD skills are highly advantageous.
• English proficiency required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop annual budget and strategic tooling planning for replacement tooling.
• Prepare quotations and feasibility studies for engineering changes using capacity analysis and MAGMA.
• Optimize tooling performance through design concepts and lessons learned to sustain cycle time and quality.
• Lead improvement projects targeting scrap reduction, OEE, and productivity using analysis and simulations.
• Manage tooling design documentation and lifecycle through a structured file system.
• Resolve tooling design issues by researching tech advances with clients and suppliers.
• Drive PCRS projects to reduce costs and exceed customer service expectations.
