Job summary

A leader in automotive components manufacturing in Alabama is seeking a Tooling Engineer to drive strategic planning and optimization projects for high-pressure casting tools. You will manage tooling performance, lead improvement initiatives, and resolve design issues leveraging advanced simulation tools. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in the HPDC automotive sector, and proficiency in CAM and CAD software. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 5+ years in HPDC automotive industry design.
• 2+ years of CNC programming experience.
• 3+ years using CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in annual budget development and strategic planning.
• Execute quotations for engineering changes and feasibility studies.
• Manage tooling performance and optimize design concepts.
• Lead improvement projects targeting scrap reduction and OEE.
• Manage technical documentation for tooling.
• Resolve complex tooling design issues with clients and suppliers.
• Drive PCRS projects to optimize customer product designs.
