Job summary

Lakeside Recruiting is seeking a Tool and Die Supervisor for a high-pressure die casting operation. The role oversees tool and die makers, coordinates maintenance, and drives process improvements to support high-volume automotive parts production.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in tool and die with leadership experience, proficiency in CAD/blueprints, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. On-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years in tool and die with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in High Pressure Die Casting is strongly preferred.
• Proficient in reading blueprints/CAD drawings and using precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily tool and die activities.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of stamping dies, molds, and fixtures.
• Ensure dies meet tight tolerances for automotive powertrain components.
• Schedule toolroom work to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues with engineering and production.
• Train and mentor team to uphold safety and quality standards.
• Maintain die maintenance logs and performance metrics.
