Job summary

Muon Space is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Compute Components team within the HPC group. This is a people-management role focused on how the team delivers, grows, and stays focused, with partnership across architecture and platform engineering.

The role requires on-site work at our San Jose, CA office three days per week in a hybrid setup. You will mentor engineers, shape delivery plans, and scale the team as Muon Space grows, reporting to the head of the HPC team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience, with Senior Manager level potential.
• Hands-on experience in FPGA, GPU, or hardware-adjacent software.
• Track record of shipping complex hardware‑integrated systems on time and to quality.
• Strong ability to grow and retain engineering talent and coach teams.

Responsibilities

• Coach engineers with 1:1s, performance reviews, and career growth.
• Align deliveries with team capabilities, roadmaps, and quality targets.
• Remove blockers and shield the team from unnecessary overhead.
• Improve design-flow robustness and testing practices across the team.
• Assist with hiring and scaling the team; partner on technical direction.
