Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Platform Engineer for Onboard Compute to own and evolve the shared HPC foundation. You will own build flows, test environments, and delivery pipelines that transform FPGA and GPU outputs into flight-ready artifacts, while planning and reporting across a growing mission portfolio.

As the team expands, you will minimize mission variations, maximize reuse, and ensure delivery methods evolve with planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Hands-on FPGA/GPU workflows experience including synthesis/compilation toolchains, simulation, and build/release pipelines.
• Experience owning build systems, test environments, and integration pipelines for hardware-adjacent codebases.
• Ability to manage variation and complexity across multiple products/missions by defining shared components and platform contracts.
• Fluency with Jira and Confluence; reporting, dashboards, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve build flows, test environments, and delivery pipelines for FPGA and GPU code.
• Own toolchain environments (synthesis, simulation, cross-compilation, containerized builds) and keep them updated.
• Manage complexity across missions; promote shared components and reduce one-off work.
• Operate at the intersection of delivery methods and planning; keep Jira roadmap accurate.
• Publish weekly health reports for team and cross-company audiences; be source of truth for status and Jira reporting.
