Job summary

SAIC is seeking a specialized Project Manager to lead modeling systems software engineering, infrastructure, and HPC programs in Earth system modeling. You will coordinate development, deployment, and data workflows across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will work with Python, Fortran, C/C++, DevOps, Git, Spack, and AI/ML tooling, aligning scientific research with execution, and communicating with executives and contractors.

Qualifications

• PM experience in scientific software, modeling or HPC.
• Experience with Earth system modeling workflows and Python, Fortran, C/C++.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, multi-cloud architectures, and distributed data management.
• Strong Agile, DevOps/CI/CD, and IT financial management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development lifecycles using Agile/hybrid methods.
• Oversee automated testing, version control, and scientific ecosystems.
