Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to serve as a senior technical advisor, ensuring infrastructure supports frontier AI models, mission use cases, and rapid R&D experimentation. Lead model-agnostic infrastructure and collaborate with AI Titans and enterprise solutions to drive implementation across platforms.

Responsibilities include guiding GPU cluster architecture, model training and inference at scale, and evaluating data fusion architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required with extensive AI/ML experience.
• 10+ years in data management and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML model training and inference infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on AI/ML infrastructure for frontier models.
• Assess GPU cluster architecture, training, and inference at scale.
• Evaluate partnerships with commercial AI providers and AI Titans.
• Support evaluation of AI/ML use cases and data fusion architectures.
• Advise on MLOps, deployment, and orchestration for rapid experimentation.
• Lead briefings to senior leadership on AI approaches and risks.
