Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a HPC Linux Systems Specialist to maintain and optimize on‑prem HPC/Linux infrastructure and drive performance improvements. You will help identify problem areas and opportunities for advancement in mission-critical systems for a government client.

You will work to ensure secure, reliable operation, with responsibilities spanning automation, monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

5+ years experience with Bash/Perl/Python scripting.
5+ years Linux admin incl provisioning, updates, filesystems, user accounts, kernel modules.
Experience with HPC batch systems (SGE/LSF/Slurm).
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for HPC environments.
Knowledge of system performance monitoring and improvements.
Ability to obtain Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

Maintain the current on-prem HPC/Linux architecture.
Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement with new technology.
Provide customers insights into their network through monitoring and performance management.
Collaborate with change control, environment, network, and security teams as needed.
