Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a System Administrator to support the operation, maintenance, and design of IT resources within a virtual HPC environment for research and data analytics in Arlington, VA. You will install and configure Unix/Linux/Windows systems, monitor performance, and perform capacity planning and benchmarking to improve security and reliability.

A TS/SCI clearance is required. Certifications such as RHCSA/CCNA/CySA+ are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience providing IT systems support for client/server/storage/network devices.
• Experience configuring Unix/Linux/Windows OS and securing systems.
• Experience with capacity planning and benchmarking to optimize performance and security.
• Experience supporting researchers by resolving IT roadblocks and providing computing environment expertise.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and design IT resources within a virtual HPC environment for research, digital engineering, and data analytics.
• Review current infrastructure and prepare plans for improvement to increase efficiency and security.
• Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network and translate metrics into information for researchers.
