Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks a High Performance and Scientific Computing Fellow to provide technical leadership across ROCm HPC libraries. The role focuses on deep algorithmic expertise, GPU performance analysis, and hands-on contributions to HPC software across AMD GPUs.

The Fellow will shape software strategy, drive technical vision, and engage in external benchmarks and technical engagements, while mentoring engineers and coordinating across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Strong background developing applications and libraries in C++, C and Fortran.
• In-depth understanding of dense and sparse linear algebra and HPC algorithms.
• Experience with parallel algorithms on large-scale systems and GPUs.
• Familiarity with GPU software development and optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Define technical vision and drive software strategy across AMD ROCm HPC libraries.
• Lead performance analysis, tuning, and algorithmic innovation for HPC libraries.
• Provide technical mentorship to senior engineers and influence best practices.
