Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff in the GPU Libraries group in San Jose, CA to advance ROCm libraries and GPU-accelerated workloads.

You will collaborate with computer scientists, software developers and applied mathematicians across architecture, implementation and debugging, mentoring staff, and contributing to the software roadmap.

The role emphasizes hands-on C++/GPU programming, open-source collaboration, and agile development within a diverse, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with C++, with CUDA, HIP, OpenMP, MPI, or OpenCL for accelerated computing on CPUs and GPUs.
• Familiarity with Python and AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD and deployment/orchestration (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Open-source contributions and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of SDLC practices including requirements elicitation, coding standards, reviews, version control, build, testing, and CI.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, validate, and deliver library capabilities with GPU kernel integration.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and documentation across teams.
• Collaborate on technical designs considering constraints, performance, and roadmap.
• Identify gaps and remediate with library owners and engineers.
• Mentor senior staff and promote best practices in an agile lifecycle.
