Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking an experienced computational science leader to guide the HPC & Sovereign AI applications team in delivering high-performance software for AMD GPUs across industry, academia, and national labs.

This role combines hands-on leadership with deep technical expertise and customer engagement. You will coordinate across global teams, drive performance optimization, and contribute to proposals and RFPs while ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions for

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in HPC and AI software stacks.
Experience leading distributed teams and coordinating with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of scientific domain experts, computational scientists, and performance optimization engineers to adapt and optimize HPC and AI applications to perform on AMD hardware.
Lead full system application performance attainment for Exascale-class customers.
Lead and coordinate technical content for customer RFPs and business proposals.
Drive the delivery of Exascale-ready applications to AMD business units and customers.
Manage internal HPC development system admins to support the team.
Interact with stakeholders to establish program requirements and schedules.
Work with other AMD teams to continuously improve AMD development software products.
