Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff in the GPU Libraries group based in San Jose, CA. You will work on strategies and execution across ROCm libraries, collaborating with computer scientists, software developers, and applied mathematicians on HPC and ML workloads.

You should bring strong C++ and GPU programming background, with experience in CUDA/HIP/OpenCL, and be comfortable across architecture to deployment, mentoring, and agile processes within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred for research and system-level work.
• Experience enabling software on GPUs and understanding CPU/GPU interaction.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and CUDA with exposure to HPC challenges.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across library teams to design and deliver core software library capabilities for ROCm.
• Guide technical execution and contribute to roadmaps across scalable GPU libraries.
• Mentor junior staff and promote best practices in the software lifecycle.
