Job summary

RA Sushi is seeking a bartender to join our team in Houston. You will greet guests, take beverage orders, and prepare cocktails and drinks with precision and flair. Maintain a clean, organized bar and assist servers as needed to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Requirements include 1–2 years of bartending experience, knowledge of wine, spirits, and sake, and certification in Responsible Alcohol Service. 21+ and a high school diploma or GED preferred; experience with Japanese cuisine is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bartending experience.
• Experience with Japanese cuisine, sushi and sake preferred.
• Basic understanding of wine, spirits and sake.
• Must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take beverage orders from guests or servers.
• Prepare beverage orders for servers according to tickets.
• Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and other beverages as requested.
• Verify guest ages and report underage drinking as required.
• Ring up drinks and food in the POS system and handle payments.
• Ensure the bar area is stocked and clean, reporting any issues.
• Offer and serve food items to guests seated at the bar when appropriate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of beverages, menus, and promotions.
• Set up, break down, and maintain bar for daily operations.
• Washes and sterilizes glassware and restocks supplies.
• Participate in catering events as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
