Job summary

Metric Geo in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to oversee residential land development projects from planning through finished lot delivery. You will manage site development, infrastructure, schedules, budgets, and coordinate with civil engineers, municipalities, and contractors to keep projects moving from initial concept to completion.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, communication, and a deep knowledge of Houston's residential development

Qualifications

• Residential land development experience.
• Experience managing horizontal development and finished lot delivery.
• Strong knowledge of grading, utilities, drainage, roads, and infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, municipalities, and utility providers.
• Proven ability to manage development schedules, budgets, contracts, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/engineering plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential land development projects from planning through finished lot delivery.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, development costs, and key milestones.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, consultants, municipalities, utility providers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Manage site development and horizontal construction, including grading, utilities, drainage, roads, and infrastructure.
• Review development plans, engineering drawings, bids, scopes of work, contracts, and project documentation.
• Track project costs, invoices, contracts, change orders, and budget performance.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate with local jurisdictions and utility providers to secure approvals, permitting, inspections, and completion.
• Proactively identify and resolve development challenges to minimize delays and cost impacts.
