Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking an Assistant Project Controls Manager for the Houston Texas Division to support project accounting, change orders, and M/WBE coordination. The role couples financial controls with on-site IT and document control to ensure accurate, on-time reporting for projects.

Successful candidates will have four or more years as a Project Engineer or related competency, and a track record in procurement, subcontractor coordination, and strict contract compliance within a large,

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years as a Project Engineer or demonstrated competency of Project Manager I.
• Experience in project controls, cost engineering, and procurement processes.
• Ability to coordinate with M/WBE programs and insurance/compliance activities.
• Strong organizational and documentation control skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in compliance with Austin corporate requirements.
• Assists the Project Engineer group with submittal look ahead and procurement logs.
• Coordinates with M/WBE coordinator and assists with qualifications and certifications.
• Interfaces with owner’s M/WBE tracking, validates reporting and mentoring.
• Coordinates with cost engineers for monthly reporting and change order validation.
