The ideal candidate has 6+ years of backend experience with Python and FastAPI, plus hands-on experience with AWS, REST APIs, and modern CI/CD practices, and is willing to relocate to Houston for the duration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong Python and FastAPI fundamentals.
• Hands-on AWS with RDS, SQS, S3.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Argo.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Work with AWS services including RDS, SQS, and S3.
• Maintain infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Argo.
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional engineering teams on technical design and delivery.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Write and maintain clear technical documentation for APIs, services, and infrastructure.
• Build and maintain automated tests and monitoring for backend services using Python and GitHub Actions.
